Eva chairs by Niels Koefoed: restored Scandinavian comfort.
These six Eva Scandinavian chairs by Niels Koefoed have been fully restored in our restoration workshop.
After more than 50 years of use, the structures were thoroughly cleaned and sanded to remove old finishes and decades of wear. This work brought back the wood’s natural tones and revealed the richness of its grain. Particular care was taken with the backrests, whose curves and flared slats require special attention.

After cleaning and sanding, the structures receive several coats of oil, until the wood is saturated. The warm tones of the teak finally come through.
All six seats also received new upholstery in chenille fabric with a faux-plain weave, sourced from Tissus du Chien Vert. An alternative to the usual bouclé fabrics, with subtle tonal variations and a particularly pleasant feel.
The high backrest adds to seating comfort, while its gentle curve naturally follows the shape of the back. The flat slats, subtly widened at the curve, contribute as much to the chair’s visual balance as to back support.
