The Different Types of Vintage and 20th Century Design Lighting
Vintage lighting not only meets a need for illumination: its form, materials, and the way it diffuses light directly contribute to the room’s arrangement. From blown glass to Murano glass, from chrome-plated metal to brass, 20th-century creations offer very different lighting effects.

Lighting from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s also reflects the evolution of interior lighting: the multiplication of light sources, the development of indirect lighting, and the increasing role of lighting as a decorative element in its own right.
Vintage Chandeliers, Pendants, and Ceiling Lights
Installed on the ceiling, a vintage chandelier or pendant light often constitutes the main light source in a living room or above a dining table. Glass, crystal, metal, or brass allow for both soft diffusion and more direct lighting, while giving the fixture a significant presence in the room.

The vintage ceiling light meets the same need with a much smaller footprint. It is particularly suitable for entrances, hallways, bedrooms, or rooms where ceiling height limits the use of a pendant. Some models can also be installed as wall lights when their design and mounting system allow.
Wall Lights and Table Lamps
The vintage wall light complements the main lighting without occupying floor space or furniture surfaces. Depending on its design, it diffuses direct, indirect, or dual-beam light and helps to reduce shadowed areas. Used alone, in pairs, or in series, it naturally finds its place in the living room, bedroom, entrance, hallway, or staircase.

Lower in the room, the vintage table lamp creates a more intimate light point. Placed on a desk, console, sideboard, or side table, it combines functional lighting with ambient light while allowing for easy adjustment of a room’s illumination.
Composing Lighting with Multiple Light Sources
A pleasant interior rarely relies on a single lamp. Combining a pendant or ceiling light with wall lights and table lamps allows for distributing light points at different heights and adapting the ambiance to the room’s uses.

The floor lamp naturally complements this arrangement when a floor-level light source is useful, for example, near an armchair, in a corner of the living room, or to create a reading nook. Each type of luminaire thus plays a different role in the overall balance of the lighting.

Our luminaires are selected for their manufacturing quality, decorative interest, and condition. They are inspected and prepared in our restoration workshop before being offered for sale.

We ensure their shipment in France and Europe with packaging adapted to their fragility, a tracking number, and insurance covering 100% of their value.
