Pfäffle modernist desk lamp
€680,00
This ERPEES desk lamp, from a relatively limited production run, reflects the resurgent modernism of the 1950s, still infused with the spirit of the Bauhaus widely spread throughout Germany, notably by Kaiser Idell. Its curved lines, wide movable black reflector, and chromed base create a silhouette where simplicity and functionality meet.

Made in Germany by ERPEES (Robert Pfäffle KG), this 1950s desk lamp combines a black lacquered metal reflector with a slightly asymmetrical, curved arm in chromed steel. A construction reminiscent of certain Kaiser Idell models, while the distinctive shape of its base recalls the “Crowfoot” feet developed by another German manufacturer of the time, Cosack.
Its wide, tiltable shade allows the light to be directed toward the work surface. It fits perfectly on a desk, a work table, or an occasional piece of furniture such as a chest of drawers or a sideboard.
Fully disassembled and rewired in our workshop, this lamp was carefully restored by our restorer, preserving its original components. New electrical wiring in 0.75 mm² twisted textile cable, certified for lighting and compliant with applicable European standards, was installed. The photographs taken on the workbench document this process and also reveal the simplicity of its construction.
The visible elements were relacquered in black. The chromed base, carefully polished, retains a few small dark marks, traces of old oxidation that add to its patina and create an elegant contrast with the refurbished elements.
