“Scimitar” round table by Boris Tabacoff for Mobilier Modulaire Moderne

Round table by Boris Tabacoff in chromed steel, “Scimitar” (Sabre) model, with a clear glass top, for the publisher MMM (Mobilier Modulaire Moderne), 1970s.

The designer is best known for his “Sphère” chairs with smoked plexiglass (Altuglass) shells, matching this table. He rose to prominence during the post-war boom thanks to his collaboration with Pierre Cardin.

• Diameter 120 cm x H 72 cm.
• Glass top thickness 15 mm
• A few rare oxidations on the chrome and fine signs of use scratches on the top. Two small chips on the glass top (see photos).
