Amber Murano glass shell wall lights
This pair of Italian wall lights from the 1970s stands out for its imposing, blown Murano glass shaped as a stylized shell. Particularly thick, the glass has a warm amber tone that contrasts with the solid brass base.
The outer surface of the glass is smooth, while the inner face is enlivened with small crystals and glass inclusions. When lit, these catch and reflect the light through the thickness of the material, emphasizing the shell’s relief and producing countless points of light.
An Italian light in the spirit of Barovier e Toso
The combination of thick Murano glass, an organic form, and gilded brass is characteristic of many Italian decorative lights from the 1970s. Through their glasswork and sculptural presence, these wall lights evoke certain productions by Barovier e Toso, without any attribution to the manufactory being established.

The interplay of the glass’s sparkling amber reflections with the solid brass base highlights the relief of the wall light.
With their generous dimensions, these wall lights serve as decorative elements as much as sources of light. They can be installed on either side of a mirror, a sideboard or a fireplace, or used in multiple pairs to create a regular arrangement in a hallway or a large room.
