A Crystal Ceiling Light for the Living Room, Dining Room, or Entryway

With its generous diameter and shallow height, this ceiling light is ideal for rooms where significant light is desired without the bulk of a pendant. Its six bulbs provide ample illumination, with intensity softened by the fixture’s construction: the central sandblasted glass diffuses light, while the curved crystal elements with embedded filaments fragment and reflect it. Opaque brass slats regularly interrupt direct light passage, offering a warm interaction with other luminaires and daylight.

Textured crystal sculpture forming the crown of the Doria ceiling light

Chaque élément de cristal soufflé est parcouru de filaments qui réfléchissent la lumière.

Glass sculpture on a transparent pedestal

L’intérieur d’un tube de cristal, véritable piège à lumière.

The result is particularly striking in a living room, dining room, or entrance hall: generous yet glare-free light, distributed throughout the room by a succession of transparencies, reflections, and matte zones. Even when off, the ceiling light maintains a strong decorative presence thanks to the contrast between clear crystal, sandblasted glass, and brass.

Très décoratif et peu encombrant, ce plafonnier diffuse une lumière généreuse sans éblouir.

Doria Leuchten: when crystal and glass shape light

Doria did not merely assemble its luminaires; the company owned its own glassworks and directly employed glassblowers, engravers, and metalworkers. This in-house mastery allowed them to work with glass as a true luminous material, playing with thicknesses, reliefs, transparencies, and textures. Like the great Murano glassworks active at the same time, Doria transformed glass from a simple diffuser into one of the primary means of sculpting light.
