  • Buddha depicted in Māravijaya. Carved wood, black lacquer and vestiges of gilding. Burmese Buddha in the Amarapura style, an artistic movement developed in Burma in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, when the royal court settled in Amarapura.
  • The flanks of the throne and its flame have disappeared over the centuries, but the image remains intact: the nobility of the face, balanced and graceful, recalls his serene meditation.
