In an interview given in 1963, Roger Landault (1919-1983) said, “I became involved with A.B.C. in 1946, following the Concours du Meuble de France, where I won first and second prize. The firm called on me to create models for them, inaugurating a collaboration that was to last several years. It was during this collaboration that I launched one of the first, the signed series of furniture.”
From the 1950s onwards, the chronology of Roger Landault’s designs for A.B.C. was as follows: Ligne Junior 1951/1954, Dakar 1955/1958, Rotterdam 1955/1956, Panama 1958/61, Châtelaine 1960, Rio 1961.
