The Birillo lamp’s three-position lighting

This Birillo table lamp, designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega, features a three-position ignition system offering several lighting moods. Depending on the switch position, it is possible to light only the lower part of the diffuser, only its upper part, or to turn on both sections simultaneously to benefit from the lamp’s full light output.

Chrome-plated steel ring with 2 switches on a 70s lamp

Two switches in the center of the Italian lamp allow you to choose the type of lighting.

This ingenious design allows the lighting to be adapted to needs and highlights the Murano glass work according to different intensities. Both decorative and functional, the Birillo lamp illustrates Carlo Nason’s attention to light effects, characteristic of Italian design produced by Mazzega in the 70s.
