  • Shakyamuni ‘s gaze is realistic, with eyes made from cowrie shells (black-spotted shells), which accentuate the expression of his benevolent, meditative gaze.
  • On the headband that highlights her ushnisha, still partially gilded, are vestiges of glassware.
  • Beautiful greenish-gray patina.
  • One small gap, due to a period accident: the tip of his monastic robe, on the left, just above the base.
  • This exclusive, authentic piece comes from the estate of dealer and collector Claude de Marteau . It is sold with a certificate of provenance.
