Buddhist temple ornament Naga Makara Hang Hong
- Hang Hong Naga, sacred decorative element and Buddhist temple protector. Carved wood, vestiges of color and mica inlay.
- Kingdom of Siam, end of the Ayuatthaya period (Late 18th century)
- It is found at the lateral ends of temple roofs (lower edges of gables or at the ends of lateral rafters) and is almost always below the chofa.
- Hang Hong is carved in bas-relief, while chofa is often in the round.
