Danish model n°68 secretary desk by Arne Wahl Iversen: a compact and functional desk
Designed in the 1960s by Arne Wahl Iversen for Danish manufacturer Vinde Møbelfabrik, this teak secretary desk model n°68 combines a writing desk with several storage spaces in a compact piece of furniture. Its drop-down front opens to form a work surface, giving access to various compartments and small drawers for storing documents, mail, and desk accessories.
A thoughtful detail lies just beneath the drop-down front: a pull-out slide that supports the writing surface once opened. It also provides a handy spot to temporarily set down an object or document taken from a drawer, without cluttering the desk.

Both the writing surface and the drop-down front reveal a striking grain, with warm tones enhanced by wheat and honey hues. The piece’s clean lines, slender legs, and drawer-integrated handles highlight the quality of the woodwork.
This secretary desk was sold to us by the family of its original owner, during an inventory of family furniture. The care taken in its preservation reflects the attachment it was held with. It only underwent a surface degreasing, followed by an oil-wax treatment in our restoration workshop, to nourish and protect the wood while preserving its original appearance. It’s now up to you to write the next chapter of its story.
With its two large lower drawers and a work surface that disappears when the front is closed, this secretary desk easily fits into a living room, bedroom, or any living space. A practical solution for having a true desk without dedicating an entire room to it.
