With its clean design, black lacquered beech legs, teak panels, and oblique birch drawer fronts, this freestanding desk evokes certain Scandinavian productions from the late 1950s and early 1960s. This combination of materials, both warm and graphic, reflects a pursuit of balance between functionality and elegance. A modernist sensibility that also found an echo in Belgium through several creations by Alfred Hendrickx, some of whose designs for Belform are similar.
A compact desk designed for the home
Its contained proportions and storage unit placed on the visitor’s side allow it to integrate easily into any room of the house or a studio, in a bedroom, or even a hallway. Designed to be presented both in the middle of a room and against a wall, it offers a light and stylish visual presence while retaining significant daily storage capacity. It is the perfect companion for your remote work. Lightweight and therefore easy to move, it remains perfectly stable in use.
