  • Bronze rain drum with archaeological brown/green patina. The tympanum is richly decorated with several concentric registers separated by scrolls, adorned in the center with a twelve-pointed star and decorated with 4 pairs of frogs at the cardinal points, symbolizing fertility. Geometric motifs, flowers, fish… can be seen beneath the patina and concretions. Flanked by two pairs of handles and a pair of elephants.
  • Probably Burma or Laos, 19th century.
  • Very good condition.
