Modernist lamp with slightly tilting reflector, late 1950s/early 1960s edition.
The visual contrast between the two black disks of the reflector and the lamp base, which are very small in diameter, has been skilfully accentuated by oblique edges and a concave center. This subtlety is repeated in the reflector, where the bevel is repeated and the thickness reduced to a minimum.
The oblique arm is edged with a small steel stave, and does not start from the center or edge of its base, as on most mass-market models of the period.
