Glashütte Limburg, a benchmark in designer lighting
Founded in the early 50s in Limburg an der Lahn, Glashütte Limburg quickly became the leading German specialist in lighting glass. In the early 60s, the factory released its first catalogue of lamps and pendant lights, while several models received awards for their design quality.
During the 60s and 70s, Glashütte Limburg collaborated with several designers, including Helena Tynell (1918-2016), famous for her bubble glass creations and wife of designer Paavo Tynell (1890-1973). The manufacturer’s fixtures are distinguished by their build quality, light diffusion, and timeless aesthetic.
Thanks to their even lighting, these pendant lights naturally fit above a kitchen worktop, a central island, in a hallway, a shop, or any other space seeking a fixture that is both functional and decorative.
