Large brass sconces Bauhaus style
- Probably designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld (1900-1990), a student of the Bauhaus who collaborated with László Moholy-Nagy.
- Each sconce consists of a slightly curved solid brass blade where a white translucent oblong plastic globe is attached.
- Wagenfeld workshops, late 1940s or early 1950s.
- The current tubes offer a cooler light temperature but they are standard and can be replaced by a warmer LED or neon tube.
- H 61 CM X W 18 CM X D 12.5 CM.
- Normal oxidation marks on the brass parts (see pictures).
- One globe has a small crack that is invisible once the sconce is in place, it is located on the top rounding. No impact on the solidity / rigidity of the globe.
