Rare 1960s desk in solid afzelia with black linoleum top and 2-drawer multiplex pedestal.

Although the modernist style emerged in the 1930s, it was most popular in the 1950s and lasted until the early 1970s. This desk is therefore part of this period, and its lines are sometimes familiar with those found in certain models by Le Corbusier (and Pierre Jeanneret ), whom architect Charles Vandenhove met early in his career, around 1951, as did Auguste Perret or Gio Ponti.

The desktop covering has been replaced with linoleum 100% identical to the original. The defects still visible in some photos therefore no longer exist. (See last two photos)
