  • Adorant in paper maché, lacquered and gilded. Myanmar (Burma), Shan, 18th century.
  • Although it has several cracks, the aesthetic integrity of the piece is almost perfect.
  • These are cracks or crazing, not gluing. The nape of the neck shows a significant crack, but it does not continue onto the neck.
  • None of the parts show any play, and when you take the adorer in hand, the “hold” is totally firm and solid.
