Papuan ritual bowl, Tami Island
€1500,00
Works from the selection assembled by Claude de Marteau, Belgian dealer and collector specializing in ancient Asian art.
The ensemble spans a wide geographical area including the Himalayas, Tibet, Nepal, India, as well as Southeast Asia — notably Burma and Thailand — and reflects a particularly demanding eye for iconographic quality, stylistic coherence and the presence of the works.
A significant part of this selection consists of ancient Buddhist sculptures, alongside deities and ritual objects from the religious traditions of the Himalayas and ancient Asia.
