Pisa pendant lights – Aloys Ferdinand Gangkofner
This model is documented in the book Lampen und Leuchten, Ein internationaler Formenquerschnitt (Georg D.W. Callwey, Munich, 1962), where it is attributed to the publisher Peill & Putzler. It also appears during the same period in the Raak Amsterdam catalogue, suggesting simultaneous distribution by these two European publishers.
The translucent frosted-glass diffuser features a distinctive satin texture, no longer reissued today, providing soft, even light. The slender line of the Pisa model allows for installation in a series as well as as a standalone piece.
Very good condition. No chips. Light oxidation marks on the suspension elements (see photos).
