Ice Cube Wall Light by Peill & Putzler – Molded Crystal and Brass

Founded in the early 20th century, the Peill und Sohn glassworks merged in the 1950s with Putzler to form Peill & Putzler. The company developed a production of shaped glass and crystal, intended for its own designs as well as those of other manufacturers.

In the 1970s, the period when this Ice Cube wall light was produced, the house distinguished itself through the quality of its molded crystal blocks, whose reliefs ensure a dense and nuanced light diffusion.

This example, from its first owner, is presented in its original condition. It demonstrates a level of craftsmanship—thick solid brass and molded crystal—that, at current costs, would require a significantly higher price point.
