Bronze Rain Drum

- Rain drum in bronze with green/brown patina. The tympanum is richly decorated with several concentric registers separated by scrolls, with a twelve-pointed star in the center and 4 frogs at the cardinal points. Geometric motifs, flowers and fish are represented. Flanked by two pairs of handles and a series of elephants.
- Probably Burma or Laos, 19th century.
- Very good condition.
- Provenance: Estate of collector and art dealer Claude de Marteau.
- Sold with certificate of origin.
