Detailed category information
Vintage desks and secretaries from the 1950s to the 1970s
Desks and secretaries combine work surface, storage, and ergonomic design. From compact vintage desks to large executive desks, their dimensions and construction determine how they can be placed in a bedroom, office, or living space.
Scandinavian desks from the 1950s and 1960s often favor clean lines, apron drawers, and warm wood species. Some also feature storage on the visitor side, allowing them to be placed freely in the room rather than against a wall. A table lamp is then enough to integrate the workspace into the overall atmosphere of the interior.
Vintage and design tables: from dining to living room
Choosing a vintage table depends as much on its design as on its proportions and use. A large dining table anchors a dining room, while a round table facilitates circulation in a more compact space. An extending or leaf table allows you to adapt the number of guests without unnecessarily occupying space day to day.
Our selection of design tables brings together creations from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, in wood, glass, metal, brass, or marble.
Around a dining table, chairs can extend its style or create a deliberate contrast. The sideboard or credenza naturally completes this ensemble by providing storage while balancing the volumes of the room.Discover our selection of vintage desks and tables from the 1950s to the 1980s, chosen for their design and the quality of their materials. Coffee tables, side tables, and serving carts
The vintage coffee table occupies a central place in the living room. Its dimensions must harmonize with those of the sofa and armchairs while preserving enough space to move around.
A large coffee table can bring together several seats, while a pair of small tables offers greater flexibility. Scandinavian wood, glass, brass, chrome steel, ceramic, or stone allow you to play with materials and contrasts alongside a pair of armchairs or a sofa.
Serving carts, side tables, and sofa ends complete this selection when they can fulfill the same functions: support for a lamp, books, decorative objects, or service during a reception. Their compact footprint allows them to be moved easily according to use.
Choosing a table or desk suited to your interior
Dimensions, number of seats, presence of a leaf, storage capacity, and footprint are as important as the style of the piece. Each table or desk offered by Vintage Addict is described and measured to allow you to anticipate its installation and use.
