Vintage wall sconce
Authentic designer wall sconces, in crystal, brass, chrome. Always carefully restored, they will enhance your walls with elegance and character. Whether for a living room, bedroom, hallway or staircase, a vintage wall sconce turns light into a true element of interior architecture
Vintage Wall Light: Illuminating Without Cluttering Space
The vintage wall light allows for adding a light point without occupying floor space or furniture surfaces. It thus easily finds its place in a living room, bedroom, entrance, hallway, or stairwell. Used alone, in pairs, or in series, it can illuminate a passage, accompany a mirror or artwork, frame a piece of furniture, or simply animate a wall.
Wall lights from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s showcase a great diversity of forms and materials: blown glass, Ice Glass or textured glass, crystal, brass, chrome-plated metal, aluminum, or Murano glass.
A Complementary Direct or Indirect Lighting
The wall light often constitutes an indirect lighting complement to the main light source. It helps reduce shadowed areas and better distribute light in the room, while creating a more nuanced ambiance.
Associated with a chandelier or pendant light, it complements the light coming from the ceiling. It can also work with a floor lamp, intended to illuminate an area of the living room or a reading nook, as well as with a table lamp, which introduces a lower and more intimate light source.
Some wall lights diffuse light directly into the room, while others project it against the wall or upwards and downwards. These plays of light contribute as much to the atmosphere as to the function of the luminaire.
From Wall Light to Small Ceiling Light
The boundary between wall light and ceiling light is not always absolute. Some small vintage ceiling lights can also be installed vertically when their design and mounting system allow. Their shallow projection then makes them particularly practical in narrow spaces.
This is why some versatile models may appear in this selection. All our pendants, ceiling lights, floor lamps, and table lamps are also presented in our vintage lamps and lighting category.
Choosing a Wall Light Adapted to Your Interior
The size of the luminaire, its depth, its orientation, and the desired type of light are as important as its aesthetics. In a hallway or staircase, a space-saving wall light facilitates circulation. In a living room or bedroom, a pair of wall lights, on the contrary, visually structures a wall while providing ambient light.
Our wall lights are selected for the quality of their craftsmanship, their authenticity, and their condition. They are inspected and, when necessary, restored in our restoration workshop before being offered for sale. We ensure their shipment in France and Europe with packaging adapted to their fragility, a tracking number, and insurance covering 100% of their value.
