Sculptures from Siam — present-day Thailand — are among the major groups of Buddhist art in Southeast Asia, deeply influenced by Theravāda Buddhism. Originating from major kingdoms such as Sukhothai, Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin, they are distinguished by the harmony of their proportions, the serenity of the faces and the balance of the postures.
