Gilt bronze Vajravarahi, Tibet
- Gilded bronze image representing the Vajravārāhī dakini. recognizable by her distinctive attribute (Sow’s head flanking her skull)/ She is depicted in a Capasthana dance posture on a lotus-shaped pedestal, crushing a figure representing ignorance. In her right hand, she brandishes the ritual kartrika knife, while her left hand holds a kapāla, the ritual skull bowl. She is the wrathful manifestation of Vajrayoginī.
- His body is adorned with rich finery and a garland of severed heads representing transcendence of ignorance and victory over the illusions of the world, each head an aspect of the vanquished ego.
