Balanced Lamp Type A, Edouard Wilfrid Buquet
- Edouard Wilfrid Buquet, nickel-plated steel double-balanced floor lamp, Type A model known as the “Lampe Equilibrée”, designed in 1927.
- The original 1927 catalog listed it as “Type A” (with two radii of action 0.6 and 0.8 m), and also featured its inverted ceiling-mounted equivalent (Type P), the floor-mounted model (Type SS) and a wall-mounted variant (Type M).
- A.M.L Licht & Design, publisher (A.M.L Balanstrasse 9 Munich.), of very high quality, it appears in this exact configuration of finish and wiring in Andrea Luperger’s brochure “La Lampe Equilibrée”, Self-published circa 1980.
- Standard bayonet lampholder, bulb included.
- Two original Buquet models published: Charlotte & Pieter Fiell, 1000 Lights, vol. 1, Cologne 2005, p.244 and p. 245.
- The electrical plug has been replaced by us.
