Meurop Furniture

Founded by the Belgian company Trefac, the brand Meurop developed in the context of the rise of post-war consumer society. The company integrated the entire manufacturing process — metal, wood, plastics, upholstery and textiles — establishing itself as a modern manufacturer dedicated to furniture.

From 1957, Pierre Guariche collaborated with Meurop before becoming its artistic director from 1960 to 1968, introducing a rational, elegant and accessible vision of design. Meurop then helped democratize modern furniture, using innovative materials such as molded plastic and metal tubing.
Today, Meurop creations are sought after for their pop aesthetic, their enduring modernity and their key role in the history of 20th-century Belgian and European design.
